As a Registered Nurse Clinical Supervisor for Take Care Private Duty Home Health Care in Sarasota, Florida, Mary conducts initial assessments of clients and develops individualized care plans, tailored to suit the client’s specific needs with the goal of supporting autonomy in clients home setting. In addition, she provides ongoing case management, offering the client RN accessibility for questions or issues.

Furthermore, Mary coordinates clients’ physician appointments, making sure to coordinate calendars with clients and Take Care’s schedulers. She also supervises the caregivers who provide the care to clients in their homes, assisted living, or skilled nursing locations. The caregivers range in skill (from companion, home health aide, to licensed practical nurse or registered nurse) and are assigned appropriately per doctor’s instruction or as dictated in the nursing plan of care. Mary provides direction and on-going guidance to all level of caregivers ensuring that at all times they meet the highest standards of care Take Care is committed to.

Mary’s unique experience and strong leadership bolsters Take Care’s position in the community and  enables Take Care to continue to offer the highest quality of private duty home health care to our community. Mary joined Take Care in April 2008 and brings with her twenty-three years of varied  nursing experience, more specifically home health and nursing management experience, expanding the areas of medical surgical, psychiatric, and long-term care experience. Prior to her employment with Take Care, Mary worked as a Home Health Coordinator for a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Sarasota for several years. She has also worked as a Nurse Manager in a community hospital in Sleepy Hollow, New York where she was in charge of unit management and staffing, multi-disciplinary team coordinator, hiring and supervising staff, and led group therapy and family counseling. Mary was instrumental in developing and bringing the Team Concept into practice in that hospital.

Mary received her Associates Degree from the State University of New York, has a certification in Behavioral Health from the National Association of Nurses, holds a certificate in Nursing Management from Pace University, New York, and is a Certified MDS Coordinator.
