About Julie Tickle Hunt, LPN, CPT

Julie first met Susanne Wise, RN, MBA, Take Care Private Duty Home Health Care’s owner and executive administrator, when Susanne attended Julie’s Basic Life Support class  for health care providers at the Heart and Vascular Center several years ago. After that introduction, Susanne continued to direct many of her staff to attend Julie’s classes for CPR education.

As the need grew and more of Take Care’s caregivers and staff needed the CPR certification, Julie partnered with Take Care in 2008 and agreed to teach a monthly CPR for Healthcare Providers class at both the Venice and Sarasota Take Care offices.

Julie has held her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) certification since 1976. She has worked at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and various physician offices until she found her calling: Cardiac Rehabilitation. Julie has worked with Cardiac patients since 1991 and currently teaches a Cardiac Maintenance Program at the Venice YMCA. Her first Cardiac Rehab was at the Heart and Vascular Center of Sarasota, and then as Director of Cardiac Rehab for the Venice office of the HVCS until 2005. She is an American Heart Association Instructor of BLS, ACLS, and PALS and teaches across the west coast of Florida. In addition to being in the teaching mode, she has completed more than half of the Registered Nurse (RN) degree requirements through Excelsior College and the State College of Florida.

In the years that I have been teaching for Take Care, I have seen many wonderful and valued employees of Take Care. It is always a joy to work with them and see how professional and caring they are. It is a pleasure for me every month! I am very privileged to work with Take Care.
