Take Care Private Duty Home Health’s team of Insurance Coordinators stay up-to-date on the latest changes and benefits available to Veterans through our Veterans Outreach Program. Our Take Care staff researches benefit eligibility on behalf of Take Care clients in Sarasota, Longboat Key, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Venice, Englewood, and Port Charlotte, Florida.

With recent economic changes, Veterans’ eligibility may have changed. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs offers monetary benefits through an Improved Pension with Aid and Attendance (part of the VA Improved Pension program). This is a benefit paid in addition to the monthly pension for Veterans who require assistance in performing personal day-to-day tasks that are essential in everyday living such as bathing, dressing, and/or eating.

Oftentimes this benefit is overlooked by Veterans or family members caring for Veterans or surviving spouses. If you or your loved one needs additional assistance in performing personal functions in everyday living, Take Care’s Insurance Coordinators will assist you in determining your qualification for the additional aid.
