Chris, CNA

Chris joined Take Care in 2015. His infectious smile and intuitive caregiving style make him a perfect fit with Take Care.

Chris has lived his life giving back to others, but it wasn’t until he cared for ill family members that he would realize his passion to give back in a different way: through caregiving. He had long considered pursuing a career in health care and an opportunity to do so was presented. This decision has been one of the best of his life and he states that he is “still just as excited to go to work everyday” and assist the clients of Take Care as he was when he first began.

Each day Chris makes a difference in the lives of clients. As a Home Health Aide, Chris assists clients with maintaining the routines that might not be possible without support. Additionally he works hard each day to ensure that the clients he works with are able to retain as much independence as possible. Take Care strives to give clients options that will help promote and achieve goals of optimal levels of support and independence, and it is this core commitment from Take Care to its clients that Chris lives out each day and with each client he works with.

This would not be possible to Chris were it not for the leadership and team environment of Take Care. He credits the 24 hour availability and support of the nursing and supervisory staff in the office with enabling him to give the optimum level of care to each client. From the scheduling team to the nurses, assistance is only a phone call away, allowing Chris to meet the needs of the client in a timely manner, regardless of the situation.

This environment is highly valued by Chris, particularly as he knows how positive an impact it has on the clients and his own ability to meet their needs. Chris said there is value in being part of the Take Care legacy—a company that has been providing the best in care for more than 20 years in our community. He added that loving what you do is so important but it is not the only element required to make an individual the best, but rather it is what elevates it. Take Care clients have afforded Chris the opportunity to elevate his training and experience. And to no surprise, the Take Care clients he works with attest to this.
