Twitter: Even at Age 104

Another sign that age does not dictate limitations on life and socialization. One 104-year-old woman has found Twitter, the social networking site, to be useful. Ivy Bean of Bradford, England, has maxed out the 5,000 friend limit on Facebook and uses Twitter reguarly to update her 24,000 followers on her latest happenings, from having her hair done to watching "Deal or No Deal" on TV.

This ties in to a previous news piece from The New York Times that describes the trend of older adults and seniors turning to online social networking as a form of socialization and communication when mobility may or may not be an issue. Aging does not have to be an isolating experience.
