“Our Family Wants to Care for Your Family” – And Our Own Family!
As the husband of our founder and owner, Carl Wise is often the one lending an extra hand to the Take Care team and has been one of the company’s biggest champions since day one back in 1995.
While he works in commercial real estate professionally and isn’t formally engaged with our home health care business or care management operations, Carl is certainly an honorary member and avid supporter of Take Care. He is known to regularly help move boxes of Take Care brochures for community events, has stepped in for true “housekeeping” services when necessary around the office over the years, and is an ambassador for Take Care in the community, passing out Sue’s business cards with pride.
While Carl has often provided an extra helping hand around the office for nearly three decades, our team stepped up for him earlier this month. That’s when the Wise family found themselves in one Take Care role none of them had previously experienced personally – that of a client and their family.
Following a scheduled medical procedure, Carl was grateful Take Care caregivers provided additional overnight support at the hospital and during his early recovery at home as he safely regained his strength, surrounded by his loving family - and - Take Care caregivers. Sue recently detailed her own family’s experience with a note of gratitude to our internal team:
I continue to be impressed by the care provided by our team to every single Take Care client. While I’m thankful for all you do daily, this week I wanted to convey my personal gratitude to the Take Care team for caring for my own husband, Carl, as he had back surgery. I have a new level of compassion for what our clients go through. And while I had my entire family, Courtney, Erika, and Whitney, helping, it is nice to let family be family and welcome the support of so many amazing caregivers and Take Care team members’ support.
On behalf of our entire family, I wanted to share our appreciation to many, but namely Melanie, Jennifer, Sabrina, Angela, Stephanie, and Mikaela for all the assistance in coordinating services and to Janet, Kenyatta, Karla, Carmen, and Jennifer for being by Carl’s side over the past few days (and into this week as he gains more strength and less pain each day, safely).
I now know first-hand what a difference having a caregiver at your side can mean for clients and their loved ones during even the most routine of medical procedures and throughout recovery. Take Care's personalized services were as personal as possible this past week. On behalf of Carl, Courtney, Erika, Whitney and the full family, thank you for caring for our own family.
Sincerely,
Sue
