Tampa Bay Business Journal: Susanne S. Wise named as 2009 Health Care Heroes Finalist

Susanne S. Wise, RN, MBA, Executive Administrator and Owner of Take Care Private Duty Home Health Care in Sarasota, Bradenton, and Venice, Florida was named as a finalist in the Medical Professional category for the 2009 Health Care Heroes award sponsored by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. The winners will be named at the recognition dinner on October 1, 2009 at the Quorum Hotel in Tampa. An independent panel of judges selected the 2009 finalists.

Susanne is honored to receive this recognition and said, “Since 1995, when I opened Take Care, I have dedicated my energy, enthusiasm, and skills to building Take Care to the business it is today. It has been my mission to build Take Care so that our name is synonymous with private duty home health care. One knows what they will get when they hire Take Care to care for themselves, their spouse, or a loved one.”

From the Tampa Bay Business Journal‘s Health Care Heroes award forms:

“The purpose of the program is to recognize individuals and/or organizations who work in the health care industry and are having a significant impact on the quality of health care in their community. Health Care Heroes seeks to honor those individuals who epitomize the spirit embodied in the word “hero,” whether they are doctors, nurses, physical therapists, employee benefit managers, community outreach program directors, public health professionals, educators or non-acute care professionals.”

Susanne reflects on her efforts and time and diligence in building Take Care. She said, “To be a business owner and an entrepreneur means that time is a premium. I do not take that for granted. Whatever time I am not seeing clients, assisting employees, implementing new training programs, or meeting with community members, I am reading the latest literature on business, aging, and education. One cannot succeed in business or health care without being on the forefront, on the cutting edge, looking to the future. With Take Care entering its fifteenth year in business, I have made a pointed effort to bring our staff and caregivers together at an entirely different level.”
