Take Care's 28th Annual Staff Holiday Breakfast Meeting
Thanks for to all who were able to join us on December 14, 2023, for Take Care's 28th Annual Staff Holiday Breakfast Meeting. (And thank you to those who were working hard to hold down the fort during the event!)
We loved the opportunity to gather together, celebrate very creative "Ugly Sweater" holiday outfits, and continue the tradition of our goofy - and meaningful - department awards. Here's a recap of the silly, but hopefully sweet, awards presented.
The senior leadership team works hard to hit the bulls-eye throughout the year with department goals. We hope the Nerf blasters will help you set sights for a smooth, strong 2024.
To the accounting team, the holiday pencil sharpeners seemed the right choice for you this year. Whether it's payroll or billing you're always sharpening your pencil to make sure it's all accurate. Thank you!
When the days seem hard and dreary Christina Henni helps the clouds move away for the rainbows. We know what a support you are to accounting (and other departments!) so we hope you'll wear the rainbow headband proudly.
Sasha Gipson juggles so many things, but she always finds time to make it all happen. "Just give her a minute" and she'll get it done, as her new coffee cup reads.
There's something about the name Chris... Chris Holderby is always a support to Nursing and so many departments. Thank you for helping us all find the rainbow, too.
Earl Jurado came to us as an aide, progressing to LPN, then LPN Support and now he wears many hats with Nursing and IT. We presented him a mask this year in honor of his many roles at Take Care.
Melinda Marton is a Fairy Godmother for the Field Staff to make sure their ADL sheets, notes are accurate! You've certainly earned those wings, Melinda!
Our Nursing - LPN Support team was presented with gold trophies because your support, your patience with clients, and all the calls you handle help us get to the finish!
Each day or night is a roll of the dice! Our RN Clinical Directors know as the director it's a gamble how the day goes. Alicia, we're also so pleased with your latest title: Director of Triage Services!
Sesame Street Medals were presented to the RN Clinical Supervisor team because just as the childrens show prepares young kids for the world, RNCSs help our clients acclimate to changing medical or living environments - with a focus on kindness and care.
The Scheduling team received mini guitars because you rock'n roll all day and late into the night filling shifts so that our clients and caregivers are happy.
You might be challenged with an ER visit, a client whose home is flodded, or a planning a cat funeral, but our Care Management team makes it look easy. The "Easy Button" was an easy choice for your award.
A sticky slapper hand was presented to the Triage team, because they are constantly grabbing calls left and right from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. Nothing slips by them!
Kim Banks and Jessica Ray, you are the VOICE of Take Care - the first person a client, prospective employee, prospective client, field staff, or anyone else hears when they reach out to Take Care. We hope your new toy microphone helps you manage the close to 500 incoming calls a week! (You're also a ray of shine in your new recruiting role, Jessica.)
The HR team is a dedicated group of elves working behind the scenes to ensure employees are hired, paperwork is completed, and benefits are up-to-date. Your work is behind-the-scenes at times, but it's what keeps things going!
Our nurses on the New Services team have the magic touch when talking about Take Care to potential clients and families. The magic wand is very deserving!
And finally, a special congratulations to this year's winners of our Ugly Sweater Competition: Baking Spirits Bright!
