Take Care's Emerging Nursing Leaders Scholarship Awarded to Two Keiser University Students

As the back-to-school season concludes, we’re excited to wish nursing students everywhere a wonderful semester ahead—especially Makenna Spina and Adam Cota, who are continuing their nursing education at Keiser University’s Sarasota Campus!

We are proud to announce that Makenna and Adam are the recipients of Take Care’s Emerging Nursing Leaders Scholarship for the fall semester. In honor of our 30th anniversary, Take Care has awarded two $3,000 scholarships to these local RN students.

The application process began earlier this summer in partnership with Dr. Susan Cohen, Nursing Program Chair, and Matt Sands, Director of Financial Aid, at Keiser. Recently, Makenna and Adam met with our leadership team to receive the good news in person.

Take Care’s Emerging Nursing Leaders Scholarship is dedicated to supporting the next generation of compassionate, skilled, and visionary health care professionals. Rooted in Take Care's commitment to personalized, exceptional home health care, this scholarship empowers emerging leaders in the nursing field who are driven to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. This scholarship was created in May 2025 to commemorate Take Care's 30th anniversary and inspire future caring,  compassionate caregivers and nursing leaders in the Sarasota/Manatee community. Through this initiative, we honor the caregivers and health care heroes of tomorrow—today.
