How Does Take Care Help Clients?
At Take Care, we focus on providing in-home nursing services, personalized care and companionship as well as medical advocacy for our clients.
Our caregivers help clients take daily walks around the neighborhood, enjoy their favorite local restaurants, visit museums, or attend social gatherings. Our team can also assist with light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal prep. We pick clients up after elective surgeries, provide medical assessments, monitoring and medication management, and much more. Take Care can assist in any setting: in a private home or hotel, at the hospital, during rehabilitation at a facility, or within a planned residence - for one hour a day up to around-the-clock support, 24/7. For some clients, companionship is the most important part of their relationship with the Take Care team. No matter the season or reason for our involvement, our team feels grateful for the opportunity to provide comprehensive care to wonderful clients throughout Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Counties.
In the world of home health care, there’s an important distinction to be made between Medicare providers and what we call “private duty.” Take Care provides “private duty” services – meaning clients pay privately for care. Our services are client driven, not physician ordered. Take Care’s personalized services may help provide an additional layer of support in many circumstances.
We also specialize in the billing, management of benefits, and utilization of long term care insurance policies. (While Take Care does not accept Medicare, we can work alongside Medicare services to help fill in the gaps.) In a recent example, one client’s spouse came to us with their long term care insurance (LTCI) policy. He appreciated that we could provide the full spectrum of care and nursing services when his wife needed it, a complement to the companionship and personal care they typically scheduled.
Some clients do not require physical help, but instead, need assistance navigating treatment plans or physician orders. In 2008, we realized this community need and decided to open our nurse-driven geriatric care management arm of the business, Take Care Advisor. Through Take Care Advisor, RN Care Managers serve as medical advocates, facilitating and coordinating all aspects of a client’s medical care and well-being.
Today, Take Care remains proudly locally, family-owned and operated – with a track record of 27 (almost 28!) years of consistency and the utmost standard of care. Thanks to an incredible and dedicated team of caregivers and nurses, we are committed to taking care of our clients, because Everyone Deserves the Best in Care.
